yer dog spider box A arm heim joint upgrade

Just a quick question for those of you that have done this upgrade. Can i just weld in some 1/2 bungs or do i need to weld the bung into a tube then weld that into the a arm? The reason i ask is that i found some heim joints with bungs on ebay for a good price

you can weld the bungs directly into the a-arms.
