You will have a hard time putting a recoil starter on the GY6 engine, but it does retrofit back to a kick start.

Buggy Depot has a kick start kit if you do not have a scooter store handy in your area.

The GY6 scooter engine was not engineered for a pull start. Where do you think you you are going to mount one?

If you put a kick stary back on the GY6 you will have to relocate the exhaust and it will still be tiough to kick start it. The area which the muffler bolts to on the cvt cover is where the kick start would go. It will be less a headache to just find and repair the problem.

The Yerf header pipe routes the muffler low enough that a kick start works when mounted vertically. You stand behind the buggy and grab the two "ears" on the top frame when kicking it over.
