Default buggy will go backwards but not forwards

Hi, i have a buggy with a GY6, 150cc engine in it. It is just recently that it wont drive forward or will only creep along at about 1mph. it will go backwards like a bullet though. Does anyone have any suggestions what the problem might be! Could it possibly be the clutch? Thanks!

Doubt it's the clutch or variator as it moves backwards normally-I just responded to your other post about the gearbox. This could possibly be a cable adjustment issue, check it first. If no luck-you'll need to pull the CVT cover off, elevate the rear tires and watch it in action-forward then reverse.

If it was a bad clutch you would have problems in both fwd. and rev. since the clutch knows no better as to which direction it grabs. Your problem will most likely be in the cable adjustment. What brand buggy do you have?
