gy6 fuel/air problem

i finally tackled the wiring and got her to fire up... i have the engine on a rack for testing so it does not have the muffler on. i did a valve adjustment and fuel adjustment it sounds good but there is a blue flame coming out the exhaust port. is this normal? keep in mind i have the muffler off. Thanks

Yea that's normal but don't run that motor with out some sort of exhaust pipe on it. Cool fresh air hits that exhaust valve and it will crack

thanks took me 6 weeks to rebuild/rewire, i would not want anymore bumps in the road
