Crank side to side play?

I'm not sure if you guys are on buggynews also, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I have some side to side play on my crank. .014-.016 to be exact. I tore down the engine, everything looks great except for this

When I pulled it apart the bearings were tight. They just move in the race. Not up and down just side to side. Is the case shot? If so BMI has a Left and Right case for $20 each.

That was a GY6? How or what made you notice this? I've never even paid attention to the ones I've owned to see that movement or if that's normal or not.

Yes its a gy6 150. I noticed it when replacing a belt. My other motor has no movement.
