Default Performance parts

Ok so i have a mini buggy that has a gy6 150 on in, it goes too slow and the take off is bad. What should i do to make it faster. Im thinking about buying this off of ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Performance-...item336a18a518

Its kinda a cheaper way but what else would i have to do?

thanks blake

Thats a good deal for the package, if its not a scam. But keep in mind that the exhaust will have to be changed or modified for it to work best.

I went back to see what buggy you have- Kinroad roadmaster- did the new carb improve the performance? Did you adjust the valves? Have you inspected the CVT?
You can buy parts all day long and they may or may not cure the issues; You said it only does about 20mph in an earlier post-Are you a large person? Are the wooded trails hilly? There are so many factors that can contribute to a fast buggy and a slow one. More details, pic's help us see potential issues. Something as small as front wheels out of alignment can make a fast buggy slow! Let us know what you've done and what the result were.

Go advanced, manage attatchments, browse. Okay you're a light weight like me so your buggy should be FAST. Depending on what you modify will dictate how much exhaust mod you'll need. The simple mod is to gut it to get it to breathe/flow better.
Let us know what you've done so far- bring us up to speed!!!

I just ordered a carb, cdi, coil and intake manifold, and I'm also thinking about buying a variator... Is a variator worth it?

if you already have the 115mm variator then no... save your money. Measure across to find what you got. The "high performance" have a different ramp angle that some may desire but for most the stock 115 does fine. The tip is to get the rollor weights correct to keep the motor in the power band.

He already orders the parts ,then asks us for advise ?
Ok ...10 grams is too low will raise take off RPM too much .Adding a stiffer spring will make it even worse unless variator and the clutch springs are changed too. Should use only 3 grams below youre stock weight but that depends also on motor /axle gearing.

i use poyal purple sae 30, e3 spark plug, K&N air filter. this helped get me more hp and torque. for my trans, i use royal purple syncronmax for that. hepled me get a better take off. i also took some weight off the body tho help the speed. take off any extra stuff you dont need.
