Winter Project
so i got bored this winter and decided to take apart my gy6
and now im thinking a big bore and a stroker crank just not sure what size big bore and if i would need a new head also or stay with stock here is a list of mods already done A 12 cam 30 mm carb with uni filter and tube replaced cdi new coil and replaced the muffler too and clutch mods also just would like some opinions. thanks one morre think i noticed some of my rollers have flat spots on them is this normal or a sign of something wrong thanks again |

IMO it would be cheeper to put a quad motor on it than a big bore and crank.Youll only get so much out of the gy6,any 200 or up quad would be faster.
but again OIMO

But with all the mod's you've done already I'd run it till it's dead- it'll give you plenty of time to find an alternative power plant if you're wanting more!!! I'm happily running (3) Honda TRX2000SX engines with the only maintenance being oil changes. The biggest thing I noticed was the never ending power on the bottom end- I climb stuff now that the GY6 just couldn't. |

shoot studman a wile back a guy was talking about how he spent over a $1000 on a gy6.
on CL there was a cbr600 for $500.so if some one has no skills and no tools that leaves $500 to pay some one to put it on. Ill take those orders all day long. All they have to do is look in the phone book under welders there are a lot of us in there that will do it.

thanks for the advise i think i will just clean it up and put it back together and play with it till it dies.... a cbr 600 in a buggy meant for a 150cc thats insane .... but it would be fun
