9hp robin/subaru motor on murray kilowatt
Finished this swap today. Not any faster on top end but nice punch and climbs hills easily. stopped at edge of drainage basin and climbed right up.
I weigh 240 lbs. Happy with torque and how quiet motor is. I used 1 inch bullet driver and 3/4 driven. Smooth takeoff and nice punch to it. |

still running great. easy swap. measured and eyeballed motor placement a bunch of times.
The engine and jackshaft are all one large plate. More top speed would be nice do you guys think i could gear up since the motor has so much more torque than the 6hp? The mounting foot on the motor is 7 and 3/8 i believe so I could go even bigger without redrilling anything. |
