Default HP ratings on stock cn250

If you read on the stock cn250 it has an 18hp output but I have seen them rated at 14 to 18 hp one heck of a difference!I will say that my 250 has at least a 16 if not more hp(opinion).....what do you think about your 250? mancoman

buggypowermaker are you talking stock or modded to rate 22hp?I thought the 400cc stock buggys would rate around 22hp?I'm basing a 250 weighing around 700 pounds on my opinion???You did say 16 to 22hp but how would we know if there is a way? mancoman

if its 700 pounds it has to have at least 15 hp. i was thinking it had a few mods done. the stock hp should be around 5 or 7 hp. iwas also thinking of a bigger motor.

The stock Dazon 250 reg plate shows a manufacter date of Feb 2007 and a weight of 673 pounds(dry weight) add a couple galllons of gas at 8 pounds a gallon and oil that's where I'm coming up with the 700 pounds.I have it jetted with a 139 main and original stock pilot, uni filter with dry charger sock and high end exhaust but that is the extint of any mods. The cvt drivetrain and tranny are still stock. mancoman

I highly doubt it has 19 stock. After throwing 1500 bucks at it you might get 22. I would say your bout 15hp stock.

I don't know it's all opinion. The full size rails with VW engines claim 125hp and there are 3 that run the same trails I do and I also at times run with them and vice versa. One guy thinks our mini buggys are cheap go carts and his rail is king sh** on the mountain..........As far as Dazon I hope you are not comparing a 150 to a 250 as I have no problem with power and have lots of videos to prove it.I heard over 3 years ago the Dazon 150 was a dog lacking power and many 150's as well the GY6 only rates 9.9hp stock. mancoman

NO.. was not dissing your 250 at all. i had 4 dazon 150 generation 2 single seat buggys at once time and loved them. i can imagine the 250 would be even better. i live on a large acreage and have wooded trails through creek bottoms, and up hills, open flats, etc and they/150's were a blast. happy trails.

ps also have a vw rail buggy... and its too big and too fast. not near as much fun. usually not able to get past 2nd gear as it runs 55ish to 60ish in second. late model single side plate hd 3:88 tall gear trans in it. out in the open its fast, but on my trails its too much. heavily wooded. hit/slide into trees all the time.

No problem it is just buggy talk that's why we are on here.Ive enjoyed hearing from and talking to you..........yes the rails run mostly in 2nd gear and 1st for the steep downgrades. These trails are to curvey and winding to get any speed that a rail can do and be safe.Even us mini buggys and the quads have to watch our speed.LEEEZARD7 looking forward to hearing from you . mancoman
