Hose on reverse assembly

Hi everyone. Quick question. On the top of the reverse assembly there is a hose connected and hanging off that isn't connected to anything on the other end. Should it be?

Ok that's what I wondered but wanted to make sure. I just bought the buggy and doing a check through it before I deem it's trail worthiness. Thanks!
