Default Yer Dog chain skipping

While riding the yerf dog at the beach. I heard what I thought was the belt slipping. Turned out to be the chain skipping. I look at it and it was really loose. Don't look like anything moved. What could it be?

check to make sure the tube/part where the chain tensioner is mounted is not bending down, and make sure your axle does not have any play in it. The buggy should not have any lateral sliding motion on the axle.

Is the chain tensioner touching the chain? When i looked at it nothing was touching the chain.

The chain tensoner is the part that is mounted on the back of the swing arm and connected to the engine just above the output shaft. If you tighten that up the back of the motor will swing up and the chain will tighten up. Sometimes the tube where the chain tensioner is mounted to will bend down loosening up the chain also.

The last thing can be chain stretch, these chains do strech after a while but usually adjusting the tensioner helps this.

good to hear, but still keep an eye out for the tube where it mounts too... once I get home I'll post some pics of what I'm talking about, currently I'm visiting my girlfriends family in Colorado.
