This is a major hit for the off roading sport. They don't just make go kart torque converters. Honda Odyssey FL350 and Honda Pilot FL400 owners that want to put a performance clutch on usually get something like a 102 series Comet clutch. Heck there are so many applications that comet torque converters are used on that this will have very wide spread implications across many motor sports.

How the heck can a company that OWNS the market go out of business? Gotta be bad management. Even if you lost 40% of your business, you still have 60% of it left. Work with it.

China will buy up rights and have them back in shelves fairly quickly. It's what they do.

Ya but the stuff comet put out was generally reliable. Any china replacements will be a big question mark.
