Talon 150cc charging
Guys, How do I check the charging system on a Carter 150cc. I have found that if I kkep the battery charged it will run. But after a few days the battery will go dead and the buggy will not start. I started it and check the boltage at the battery. It was 12.30 running. I rev it up and it did not change. This tells me that it is not charging. My question is where do I start? regulator? or stator? I suspect the stator because everything I do is the hard way. How do I check the stator to see if it is charging without buying one? And how to check the regulator?
I dont have wiring diagrams so I dont know which wires should be hot and whcih ones shouldn't be. as long as the battery is charged the buggy runs good. But it is not charging |

Hello,
Im new to the forum. I had the same issue with my ASW 150cc BD-200 UTV. I replaced the regulator and it fixed my issue. I know there's video's on YouTube on testing the charging systems, i believe you get AC voltage out of the stator and the regulator converts it to DC while it's running. Hope this helps, |
