Isnt there an idle set screw on the carb?

I see a black plastic philips screw which looks to be the idle screw but I don't know for sure if its the right one, this is the type of motor I got and the manual doesn't show a idler screw in the labeled diagramed.

have someone press on the gas pedal for you, unless you can do both while you are looking at where it attaches to the carb, the idle screw should be on that part of the linkage. zman motor does not have to be running. safer this way.

Place the kart on jack stands so the rear wheels are off the ground.
Start the engine. Turn the suspected screw OUT 1/2 turn. See if that affects RPM. If not, turn it 1/2 turn back IN. Make sure your throttle linkage isn't hangin up somehwere. Is there any slack on the throttle cable when the pedal is not pressed? |
