Default baj mini bike torque convertor install

looking to install a torque convertor on my mini baja i put a hf predator 6.5 do i really need to oblong the mounting holes on the torque convertor like i see in the utube videos it seems to take away mounting strength.

No you don't. I bought a GTC torque converter instead with the billet aluminum. The only real modification I had to make was to partially grind off (not remove as it still is hanging on there) one of the tabs on the bottom so it would clear the frame by the motor mount.
