just bought a twistor z-150 from my neighbor who couldnt get it running after sitting up for a yr. i bought a carb,and fuel pump cured the problem ran great with pletty of speed and hill climbing torgue. now after 2 months have a hard time get it to run right-starts and idles fine but touch accelarator engine dies have to let it warm up for about 10 min then it will take the gas- heeelp please-have already drained carb checked fuel filter and fuel lines and vacum lines

Retorque the head and reset the valve clearances maybe?

already did that -acts more like a fuel delivery problem or vacum- replaced air filter-checked all vacum lines- this happened all of a sudden-was running fine next time tried to ride(overnite)wouldnt take gas- thinking of buying another carb
to see what happens?????

A good majority of fuel related problems can be attributed to the fuel enrichiner. They are problematic and prone to fail. They require periodic testing and replacement. Thats the first thing to check when having this sort of problem. Most common problem is loss of power through a connector gone bad or faulty ground. there's posts explaining what to look for and how to test. Check the enrichner before spending any more on parts.

ditto the above and a do a very thorough carb cleaning. seems like these CV carbs are really prone to plugging if the fuel sits for 3 weeks or more. best thing to do after each ride where it may sit awhile afterwards is shut the petcock and let the buggy idle until it stalls and wont' restart. then drain the carb bowl and even blow air though the feed line.
