honda rebel 250
I got an old guy down the road that has a 1990 honda rebel motorcycle, no rims, no tires ,dented gas tank and the frame is rusted to dust.
BUT the motor looks new ! Has new clutch , and was rebuilt 3 years ago ! with little to no run time after rebuild. 100.00 and he ays i can drag it away ! Qusetion ? Has anyone put this motor or one like it into a buggy ! And would you recomend it or no ! PS i was able to get it started and beside the muffler having lots of wholes in it ! it ran and shifted fine! |

Sounds like you want to put a motorcycle engine in your buggy. If the engine doesn't look like the engine that is in your buggy it will require some modification and probably some welding. If you think you can do it and you really want to do it go ahead and give it a try. Can't say for sure if you'll be successful. You may also have to fashion brackets for the engine and maybe the muffler as well. Everything has to line up right. Not an easy task in my opinion. Also...the wiring may be different as well and things may not plug in like they do now which means you'll have to either use the wiring harness from the motorcycle or change out the electronics.

Make sure to do a video track of your installs for others in the future!
