Here is a link to the parts manual for the Carbide. In there you will have a break-down of the components.

You have a key to the new switch?
Thats a tough call without a wire diagram, or someone on here that ones one and can look at theirs.

I got these links from ASW hope they help. They have helped me with my carbide.
Last page of the first link is wiring diagram. Bookmark them in your computer. I am sure they will help you too. They are pretty detailed with all internal engine parts too. http://www.amsportworks.com/pdfs/gok..._pages2230.pdf http://www.amsportworks.com/pdfs/LUT...al-14589R4.pdf

ok i think i got it to get spark now and hopefully wired correctly. i had it running but it would just sputter. might be cause the air box wasn't on. now it won't start now. is the speedo suppose to flicker when your trying to start the buggy? I think i might have to play with the switch that is on the electrical box cover. there is a shut off on there also.

The guy I bought mine from bypassed that kill switch in the back due to it not starting for some odd reason.

To by pass switch he simply unplugged blue and green wires and joined them together.
I am not sure about your other wires I gave you the link for the wiring diagram; check it out.

can you look in your box and see? i didn't seen them in the diagram you gave me in the link. I took the carb off to clean it can you tell me where the bottom hose goes that come out the bottom were you change the jets? also on the air box there is a big spiral black house that come out the side of the air box sent to were you hook the carb back into were does that go or hook up too?

The bottom hose on the carb just hangs down. That is your overflow hose. That corrugated hose that comes out the side of the air box goes to the air scoop (between the head rests). That is what feeds your air filter. I am unsure of the wires. I won't have time for several days to look in the box "sorry".

OK Thanx for all you help. wonder if i can order that or not?

No prob. You could order it, but just use some 1/4 tubing for carb and some flexible tubing for air box. Or get a uni filter. I like the box because it protects filter.

I just notice that the steering is hard to move. what do i need to check and do to fix this?

|

Not to sure about the steering. Is it tight while in motion too?
I guess you could lube the rack and pinion. Check tie rods are appropriate setting. You can find all that info in those links I gave you.

An little tightness is normal I think. As long as it moves smoothly while in motion.

doesn't move smothly. maybe i should do a video to so how hard it is? it hard to turn. i mean you have to crank on it right or left to even move it.

could be the tie rod or spindle ball joints are bound up or gunk and dirt in the rack. I'd disconnect the tie rods and see how well the rack moves by itself. also look for anything bent/twisted out of place around the spindles.

Your tight steering could be from the Nylon bushings sliding out of place on your steering wheel shaft. They just need to be pushed back in.
