Default Mixing springs?

Can you a mix red main spring with yellow clutch springs or is this a dumb idea?

I've got stock arm springs and yellow main... it works well. It wont hurt a thing.regardless its better than all stock.

But if you got yellow arms just stick with yellow main.. just sayin.

you can mix and match any way you want. The main affects the characteristics of the cvt as it transitions through the ratios. The clutch spring affects the clutch engagement rpm. A stiffer main will slow the transition to high gear but will down shift quicker, vise-versa for a lighter spring. stiffer clutch springs will raise the rpm at which the clutch engages.
A stiff main and light clutch spring is good for pulling power in a motor with a strong bottom end. A light main and stiff clutch works for a top end powered motor. find the combination that works best for you.
