Default Bigger wheels.. Wheel adapters? Tires.

Hi, I'm getting close to pulling the trigger a 150 buggy. This is the one I'm considering most..
http://www.powersportsmax.com/produc...ducts_id/16798
Before I buy anything I explore all my options and make sure I will be able to do the things I want with it. With that being said. I plan to use this behind my house where trail take me to power lines.. There are a few hill climbs and a few swampy rocky(tall rocks) water crossings.. I'd really like to get it up higher.. I see it has what appears to be a splined rear and axle through wheel set up.. Does anyone have any knowledge on adapters or anything.. I'd really like to get some golf cart or Sxxs style wheels on it for more clearance..any info helps..I tried to look but just can't find tall tires for 8 inch rims..

If the wheels are a 1" bore, you're going to need some wheel hub adapters (20 bucks over at BMI). If not, get whatever. They will work. Just for reference, I've seen people put 24s on the back of the spiderbox, and there isn't exactly a lot of room where the tires are (practically under the frame lol).

Personally I have been eyeballing this one for a whe now. I really dig the look, I believe it has a good suspension, but might be a heavier buggy. If you can visually loom at engine at write down the number. Like if it is the popular ( 157 qmj ) engine with a 4 bolt valve cover then plenty of engine parts available.
I am sure you could problaby put on slightly larger rims and tires but would have to make sure they fit and don't interfere with steering. Then you would have to mess with cvt which I am sure no matter what model there is always parts available.
If you get this please let us know. As I like the look of it and it already has a pink and purple color for the wife.

As I glanced at the pic of seats it does appear to maybe be the 4 bolt valve cover.

Thanks for the quick replys..I checked out bmi. The adapters they sell all seem to convert to 3 lug. I'm having trouble finding larger wheels in the 3 lug set up.

I can't believe those are single bolt....
You would want the 4x110 for front maybe rear too.

I would think so, unless to need keyed for rear and non keyed for front.
Once you get buggy then you can look in to that stuff.

STOCK
Front 19x7-8
Rear 21x10-10
I will be buying 20x 7x 8 on the front (very common size) and 22x 11x 10 on the rear. (again, very common)
I also have been looking for 10 inch rim for front

So if you go into larger sizes like 22 or 24 providing they will fit. What kinda things would happen to performance.

22 is only an inch more on the rear. Maybe not as much low end take off power. but I have compensated with that with all my mods ( in my signature ). If you go 24's providing they fit you would need different gearing too, as your low end torque will greatly suffer. Top speed will probably increase.

fwiw, the 20" tires are the tallest you can get for an 8" rim.

Thats not entirely true. You can get 21" for the front, and 22" for the rear. Anything above that, you would need to look at 10" or 12" wheels.

Hope you realize that buggy is basicly a stripped down 150cc buggy. Has absolutely no features, bare bones buggy.

I got my front tires at rockymountain..... (21x7x8) unfortunately its the biggest tire they make for this size rim. I've looked everywhere for 22 and 23" tires for this size rim... nada zilch.
