towing with hammerhead 250ss

Me and my friend are suppose to be cutting down some trees for our trails in the woods and he doesnt have hitch on his 4 wheeler.. do you think i could use my hammerhead 250ss to pull or tow some small tree trunks in a trailer....has anyone ever used there hammerhead 250ss to tow?

I don't see why not, as long as you aren't trying to tow a car or anything. Be careful in the trails though, pulling something loaded down over limbs and roots makes your buggy even more unstable. Low speed and light to medium light loads should not be an issue. Be sure to let the engine and CVT cool down well between workouts, or you might shred a belt very quickly.

I would say no more than half what the buggy weighs, ~300lb. If you are using a trailer, then evenly loaded I would no go over 450lbs. Also depends on the terrain too, smooth trails, you might be able to push it, tight or rough trails, then I would park closer to somewhere open and walk/drag the timber to the trailer.

I used a 14.5hp murray rider to drag some petrified tree sections around 200lb each, and you would have thought I was running a mini tractor pull, front wheels never touched the ground above 3rd gear. It held up, but the belt needed replacing shortly after.

Just keep it easy, if you are going very far, stop part way and see if the belt cover seems really hot. If it is lighten the load or give it a rest. You don't want to burn up your belt.
