Default How well does this engine take abuse?

I had one and ran the crap out of it just fine. Who has been doing it for quite some time? Still holding up?

i know im posting all this stuff about mt "fabulous carter 150" but seriously, oil wasnt changed for the first two years of ownership nor did it get tires or a carb job. i got it in the third year of ownership and absolutely slaughtered it. i was drifting on asphault with the bald tires, goin through head deep water and just basically trying to kill it. just changed oil past summer. still runs amazing holding the 42mph stock top speed. also found out the trans mission was running with out barely any oil in it!!! these things are invincible.

Before I had the Carbide, I had a Manco Vortex with a 6.5 Robin engine and I ran that until the cylinder fell out (almost literally).

I had a 7hp subaru on my Dingo all year and from May till now it didnt even need the choke to start. We measured that we put about 1000 miles on our karts this year. Everyone else had a problem with their tecumsehs and honda clones but I had none at all. All I have done to it is exhaust, intake and timing. Now I just bought a 9hp Subaru and Im going to do the same to it.

I can believe it. The subaru seems to be the best on the market.
