Default Ac to Dc CDI. Conversion

My sunl 250 has a ac cdi setup, and im trying to switch to an adjustable Dc cdi and coil setup. The one problem I have is now instead of 70-85vac feeding the cdi from red wire(from stator) to B/R wire from cdi.. My question is where do I know get my DC power from for the new DC cdi coil setup. And is this the correct way to set this alll up, I bought a new stator(mine was bad). Everything else tests good. I just need some help with can I do this switch to a DC setup, and also where do I get DC power from to be safe . Any help will be great, i'm a motorcycle mechanic and im not a 12 year old I've been wrenching for 18 years so I do know my stuff, but also im not pigheaded and when im stumped I ask others for advice. So any help would be greatly appricieated. Thanks
Chris
