Default Already thinking...

Well, supposed to get my Yerfie back today! The shop didn't fix (because I didn't ask them) my super spongey brakes, and I was thinking I needed to bleed the lines. Do you think I could use the two person method and not have to buy anything but brake fluid? And, is bleeding the brakes like that of a car? Unscrew the bleed valve, hold brake pedal, screw it back, release (and repeat)?

Thanks guys!

Best to reverse bleed with these.... Get a large syringe, maybe 50cc.
Fill with fluid, loosen bleeder screw, inject fluid in bleeder screw until the master cylinder is filled. Make sure no aid gets in.

To empty lines first, yes .... You can do as you said.

Cool! Thanks... Turns out the knuckle-heads over at the shop didn't deliver it today because the guy supposed to deliver it didn't want to drive when we wanted it delivered (during their open hours....morons) so I'm taking delivery this Saturday.

How much fluid should be put into the line? I'm gonna pick some up later

Edit: $7 later I've got a quart of the stuff. This is plenty.

Until it fills you MC reservoir up to the fill line. I doubt you even go through 1/2 the bottle of brake fluid.

(doh!) I forgot that's how much it is! LOL. Thanks again. I'm doing HW now, but whenever I get the chance I'll work on it with my dad and do the "2 man" method to bleed and refill the lines.
