Default 11-pole stator

Installing a new 11-pole stator, flywheel and rectifier. Will these all plug right up or will I need to make modifications to some things? Any help would be appreciated.

should be good to go if you have the matching regulator/rectifier.

You will need the Buggy Depot adapter cable set or will need to modify connectors or engine harness to mate everything up. If you have the correct rectifier, It will now have a regulated and unregulated DC output. It should have a 3-wire input and 4-wire output.

Is there a difference in the 11-pole stators? My buggy runs a DC cdi. The one I purchased the guy is telling me is for an AC. I don't see any indications on any websites claiming they are ac or dc. The picture of it is the exact same one they sell on BuggyPartsNW but quite a bit cheaper. Also will there be any difference in the 11-pole rectifier? I ordered one of them elsewhere. All parts look exactly the same as **** sells.

An 11-pole stator that has a dedicated AC CDI output can be used with AC or DC CDI's based on the engine harness wiring. If this dedicated line is missing, it can only be used DC CDI's.

The 11-pole stator is 3-phase like the 18-pole in a 250. To get the most of this stator, you need a 7-wire rectifier. If your rectifier has less wires, it will work but at diminished output of the full potential. The rectifier is not plug-n-play to the engine harness or stator - this is where the Buggy Depot adapter is used or you need modify your connectors and trace wires on your own.

Ok. Well I ordered the harness adapter, so I should be good to go? Funny most places sell these as a plug n play kit and don't bother giving you more information on them. I was told be fore that the difference between the stators is that if its an AC it doesn't charge your battery. So I should be good to go even if they claim it is an AC? Anyone else installed one of these on a DC buggy?

Don't know much on this subject since I have never tried to make ac work on dc. What I do know is the difference between an AC and DC stator is in the way they are wound and wired. Rick's electric 603-329-9901, give him a call. He should be able to tell you if it will work.

Well I guess I am fixing to find out. New engine arrived today and the other parts should be in hopefully tomorrow or next week.

Travis at Buggy Depot says it will work fine and all of the connections on the kit I bought and their harness match. Hope he is right.

Travis knows what he is talking about. If he says it will work then it will.
