Default lurked for a while but finally have a real buggy

Hey guys I've used this site for a lot of research when trying to find problems with the scooters I've worked on over the years. Now however I've finally gotten my hands on a real mini buggy. Actually I've had it for a while, just not getting a chance to work on it. I believe it's a 2004-5 year but I'm sure at least via the sticker that it's a Dazon 150cc raider classic with reverse. got it for next to nothing but it does have a major problem and I'm not sure if new member intro is where to start the tread.

I'm located in of the panhandle of Florida closer to ALABAMA.

after buying it in April of last year I got it to fire, ran decently at idle but that's when I noticed the problem, The transmission casing had become broken, and the guy who sold it to me (still cheap enough I wouldn't have care but some oh hey btw would have been nice) JB welded it which fell off once I got the motor started. I'll have to send pics to describe where it's broken as this doesn't have a separate reverse box it was built into the rear side of the motor casing. on top of that it needs alot of work to bring it back to running condition and safe for my son and I could use all the help I can get.

welcome Merc, you can list your engine problems under the category marked GY6 150 cc engines if you like, so ask away and post pics where possible. that always help.

did it crack where the rear tensioner mounts to the case? common problem from jumping and staying on the gas when landing. if it's one of the "oddball" internal reverse engines, best bet might be to find someone who can tig it. from your bike albums, i take it this isn't your first trip around the cracked case block ...
