balance tires???
Just quick question. Have 19" tires in front. And 22" tires in back. 8" rims. Is there benefits in balancing the tires on a small buggy? Mainly if helps at higher speeds. 30mph +

Just an opinion but balancing would not help when there's so many areas on these buggies that cause issues at speed. Maybe balancing would help if there was a way of closing up or tightening tolerances on the front end.

Couldn't hurt. But at such low speeds I doubt it would make any difference at all. Unless the tires are ridiculously out of balance.

if you have a bounce problem or such that bad, sounds like you would have something bent.

I don't think you would be able to tell otherwise unless all you travel is smooth roads or such.

I do travel on smooth roads at times. Dirt roads. And I dont feel it until then. At high speeds 30+ the buggy fishtails on me. Faster I go, the worse it gets. When I had stock tires on, never had this problem. I noticed it right away when put the larger tires on. Thought it might have been slop in the swing arm. Tighten that up, but did little good.

I don't think tires out of balance would cause that fishtailing. sounds more like a bad bearing or maybe a wheel or axle loose

Jack the rear up and check for loose movement on axle and wheels, ie. lug nuts. maybe even a warped rim.

Since these tires are not approved for hard pavement they do not get balanced. Even if you run a hard pavement tire, under 50mph does not require any balancing.

What type of buggy is it? Is it a live axle or independent? If it is independent in the rear, you might have gotten some toe out. This will definitely cause fish tailing.

Its yerfdog. I've got grease leaking out of drivers side rear bearing. So I'm guessing that could be the problem. Will replace both of them. The axle is stock. So can't rule out anything bent. Thx all.
