Default Hello new here.

Purchased a kinroad runmaster sahara 150cc buggy go kart used. Was told that it needed a few minor fixes.
We have four wheelers and motorcycles but this is our first buggy go kart. The sub wiring harness was butchered. ..and I am left with attempting to figure out what wire colors go where what and why. Any help would be great!!

Welcome aboard; wiring issues on these are prevalent and a lot of used ones show up in the condition yours is in. For the most part, black/white is ground, green is hot. you should be able to verify that basic layout with a multi meter pretty easily. make sure the engine and chassis are both well grounded. most coils have a light green surround on the spade coming out of the coil to indicate which spade get the hot wire and which gets the ground. Key switches, brake safety interlock switches and kill switches are quite often the root of most problems, as are corroded or loose grounds or terminal blocks.

with the chinese wiring, there are no "absolutes". found them both ways. Use the audible resistance setting on your multimeter to verify before plugging things in and putting the juice to it.
