Is this safe?
So first off, if you haven't seen my other posts, well I have a ghettofied yerf dog spider box. Anyways I have ATV style tires all around the yerf. I noticed this morning I have blown out ball joints and the spindle on the passenger side is very close to the tire, I mean like millimeters. I believe it is an offset spindle too. My question to you guys? #1 do I buy the OEM hard black rubber ball joints or get the lifetime warranty/heavy duty style? (Think I saw them on **********.com) #2 do I need a 1" spacer, new even spindle arm or what? For that passenger side? Can I some how play with the steering rack/pinion to get a bigger gap? I will attach a couple photos below. Thanks everyone

An inch is as good as a mile, as long as the tire doesn't flex and rub while cornering.
Difficult to tell if a ball joint is bad from a photo, I usually push in on the top of the tire to see if there's play. |

the front ends of the yerf's are 100 percent unsafe for trail riding. If you search one of my threads of my built up yerf I spent a ton of money on the front end of it and suspension. Im not the only one look up xlint also he has a yerf and ckau well his another whole story lol. The yerf to me takes a lot of work suspension wise and front end wise just to make trail worthy vs the other style buggies such as hammerhead or trailmaster its a night and day difference.

" OEM hard rubber ??? " You lost me there , regardless you need the BD heavy duty ball joints . Looks like you have the originals which were junk and dangerous when brand new . Matter of fact their was a recall on those back in the day and I believe played a big part in Yerf Dog's demise .

yes people where getting seriously hurt because of this buggy that's why yerf dog is no longer is business. I did all the bdx stuff up front and man it was night and day, but like I said it gets expensive pretty quick.
