ordered the engine rebuild kit
Finaly had a couple bucks and the spring is coming soon so i ordered up a 58.5 rebuild kit with a new head. I went with the a12 cam as well. I will be attempting the rebuild myself. with the aid of youtube videos.have any of you guys done this rebuild any gotchas or words of wisdom for a newb? Was also thinking of getting weights and sliders as well. But do not want to change too much as I figure it will make it harder to troubleshoot things.

I did this with zero gy6 experience. It's an easy swap.

just take your time, ask questions if you run into trouble. I see you have a 2 seater I would remove the seats or remove engine to make life a lot easier. Me personally I like taking the engine out and putting it on the bench, kills my back and knees trying to work on the engine, while still in the buggy. But it can be done with leaving on the engine mounts.
