Yerf Predator swap - Lining up drive
Bought an old Yerf Dog. I think it is a 3200. I've swapped the Tecumseh for a Predator from Harbor Freight. The problem is that the drive components don't line up. The clutch(?) on the drive shaft is about 3/4" offset to the right of the driven pulley. I guess I could solve it by using a wider spacer on the drive shaft to push the clutch left. Anyone else encountered this problem?

I've done that to three 3203's so far , each time a little different . Involved making different spacers', moved slots to the left 1/4" ( gotta watch you don't get driver and belt too close to engine case ) The last one I did I cut a bit off the old crankshaft to make a slug to fill the void in the driver . Grade 8 driver bolt and good washers a must , and most importantly a good straight edge setup to get perfectly aligned or it will eat belts like crazy .

Just had a memory come to me regarding this topic , you have to watch it when moving the slots over , engine can get precariously close to drive chain .
