Default Replacing small sprocket on ss250 hammerhead

Hi guys I have just replace the small sprocket on my ss250 but am finding it is not lining up with the big sprocket on the axel any ideas on getting them aligned thanks

It should line up.Post some pictures.

Does your sprocket have a lip on one side? Did you remove any spacers? Did the engine shift over when you loosened it to remove the chain?

As far as I know the engine didn't move sideways but it seems to be out by about 10mm and all that was on the small sprocket was the sprocket and a retainer washer with 2 small bolts. Whe I pull the cover off I will post pics up thanks

Make sure there is no slop in the transmission output shaft. The center axle should be fixed in place by two bearings. The axle sprocket should be held in place by a spider that is welded to the center shaft. These are the only other areas where there can be misalignment introduced.
