Performance Nitrogen Shocks - Anyone Try These?
Found these aftermarket shocks for sale on Ebay for $100 USD a pair advertised for buggies and ATV's. I'd like to run these on an Baja 150 Reaction 2 seat buggy with a 150cc GY6 as an upgrade to the stock shocks.Has anyone tried these? Are they worth the money as a suspension upgrade or just pretty looking jewlery?
The Ad Specs are : The Aftermarket parts, brand new a pair of air shocks absorber is good quality and replacement for some Gokart Quad and ATV. 400mm (15.75") total length 375mm (14.75") eye to eye Eye Diameter: 10mm or 12mm ; Eye thickness : 21mm; a little narrow; Spring thickness: 8mm Spring Width: 60mm(2.4") Working stroke: 68mm It can be adjusted in length 1" (25mm) The eye of shock has tensile strength more than 2,000kgf; Max loading: 600 lbs/a pair; Pre-filled nitrogen; Pressure can be adjusted by springs and air (nitrogen) |

I have some. The nitro setup is fake and there's to channel to the shock body.. Very bouncy, but better than my stock ones..

Thanks everyone. While they look cool I figured the quality was questionable. Being rebuildable but not finding parts doesn't help.
What's a decent front and rear shock that's readily available and not crazy expensive, that fits these 150cc 2 seater buggys? They don't even have to be a direct bolt on, I can fab relocated mounts if need be. What do you guys recommend? |

The problem is shocks compliment the suspension. Weight, wheel base, track, total non binding arm movement all play into a shocks design. What may be great on an atv won't be so great on the buggy. Those shocks I put on the rear of my challenger did soften the ride but also hampered the handling on certain trails for they were too soft and would often bottom out making it worse on the back than the original shocks.
