Putting a bigger engine on my kart
Hi guys, I have a Tomberlin crossfire 150 and I'd like it to have more power and go faster, I have one of these:
http://m.northerntool.com/products/s...b&devicetype=m It's a 20hp Honda v twin engine. My though was, to gut the 150 cc engine, weld a sprocket onto the 150cc crankshaft, and mount the Honda engine above it. I can use bigger/smaller sprockets to get more torque or speed. Mainly I need torque... Any ideas...? |

I wouldn't give up on the gy6 just yet but that's just my opinion.

not a big fan of mower engine swaps, i dont see the point. the 150 will out perform it on the trail, plus reverse. you'll need a clutch system ( comet style , belt) and the money you'll invest in all of that won't be worth it. a sled, atv engine swap will be a better choice.
