Default New from NJ

Hello so a buddy of mine gave me 2 of his kids old go kart buggys.
1. Hammerhead GTS 150
2. Yerf Dog 3203

What can I do to put a better front end suspension on the Yerfdog
I have a bunch of Yfz 450 and Raptor 660 parts laying around i would like to make the suspension more like the Hammerhead and maybe swap in larger engines.

Also besides the engine what are the differences between the Hammerhead GTS 150 and the 250?

Thanks for the feed back.

Welcome to the addiction. Both the GY6 150cc and the CN/CF-250 engines are very good engines. The 150cc GY6 has many more options for building the engine than with the CN/CF-250 engines.

Welcome to the madness fastback.
As far as working on the 3203 goes, you've got to realize that you've got a bare bones backyard go kart with some pogo stick shocks on it and that upgrading it will require quite a bit of work to make the frame handle the modifications.

5 years of development of mine are in this thread. it's long, but read through the whole thing to pick out what worked and what i ended up ditching later on. Highlights a lot of areas that you'll have to address to beef it up.

and the latest project for my daugher with a quad front end conversion is in frankenbuggy portion of the forum under "Hatchet Job". might be the way you want to go.

BTW, where from in NJ? I'm just over the border in Easton, PA.
