Default 250cc buggy worth $400?

Hello everyone, I found this buggy online for sale for $400 and I've never owned 250cc buggy before, only a 150cc.

https://offerup.com/item/detail/428892421/

Would this be worth $400? What are common issues with the 250cc; are they hard to find parts for?

What should I check before buying it? The attachment images shrunk, so below is a link to bigger images:

Thank you.

I'd be leery at that price with a so called bad stator. Wiring issues can be a nightmare if it shorted other things out. First thing that pops up to me is he got 3, used this one to fix all the issues with 2, and now getting rid of the problem cheap. I would not trade money without looking it over real real close. Wouldn't surprise me one bit once the $12 part is fixed the engine needs an overhaul.

The engine is a common scooter engine just like the gy6. Factory replacement parts for that are pretty easy to get, just don't expect much in performance support.

I'd look it over real close but being an electrician I'd go look at it with cash in hand.
