Carbide 150 Bog
Kind of an odd problem. Had the buggy a few years of good use and then suffered a bog issue. Checking things I unhooked the snorkle and the bog went away for a few months.
Now it is back Checked the air filter and cleaned it. No help. Removed the air filter box and it runs excellent. Obviously don't want to run it with no filter. Purchased a Hi Flow round Cone filter. It bogs with it on. Off runs great. So as a test with just a 12" long 1.5" hose on it (I had to use this to get the filter on past the frame support) it bogs. This has stumped me. Took the carb all apart and found no issues. It was clean inside but I ran it thru my sonic cleaner. Didn't help. Messing with the Air bleed screw does not help. Any ideas? I starts easy, idles as it should, nothing erratic. |

I'm assuming You have a CV carb ( diaphram slide ) I've done this a few times with success . take the needle rod out of the slide and add two or three tiny washers under the head to raise the needle . I start with three . I had one that wanted three , and two that only needed one washer . Idea is it delivers fuel quicker initially. That and or cut one coil off the spring ... Allowing the slide to open easier ... But Thats Permanent. .
