Engine compatibility

I have a hammerhead 150cc buggy that the engine is shot in. I also have a znen 150cc scooter that has a good motor on it. Can I put the scooter motor on the buggy?

You have long case and short case gy6. If the case is the same between the 2 it should bolt right up but my understanding long case is more common on shooters where buggies have short cases.

You also have ac and dc ignition systems. To be plug and play those have to be the same but that is easily swapped.

Thank you for the response. I'm beginning to think I'm going to buy a new motor and fix the scooter for sale. The only reason I even considered it is because the scooter had a small engine fire that fried more vacuum lines than I care to figure out. Looking at it this week after work I'm pretty sure I can figure it out and get her roadworthy again.
