ID this China differential?
I bought this differential from Alibaba for my next big project. I know I can 'make it work' but maybe someone knows the original application and give me some insight into the four large mounting flanges. Can anyone ID this for me? The supplier was of no help. Thank you! I'll be posting photos as construction goes along.

That thing's pretty cool, are you sure it's China made?

It was shipped to me from China as part of a go-kart package. It is more narrow than I wanted but I am tired of all the problems associated with a live axle.

Either way it's pretty cool.
With a long enough chain you can still get some twist/pivot out of it. Not just up and down, like most live axles mounted to a swing arm. It will be more like an automotive rear end with a drive shaft. The further you have the front sprocket away from the rear sprocket, the more you should be able to twist without the chain falling off. |

Bullnerd posted a video of the Princess jeep in one of his threads on MB. These guys have a similar style setup with a jack shaft.
