Default Gy6

Went to check the compression on this engine as it smokes a bit. Threads didn't seem right so used the rubber cone and pressed it on the spark plug hole. Came out about 100 - 102.

Put the plug back in and felt soft tightening it up. Tried to start it and POP! shot the plug right out. Got parts coming in from Kart Mart where the buggy originally came from and hoping to pick up Friday. Will be a first tearing into one of these engines.

Its not to bad just make sure you set your timing before breaking it down. Other than that is easy. One tip dont use any coatings on the lower jug gasket and make sure your torque it correctly. Speaking from experience on this one.

yea that would cause problems through the whole throttle range for sure. Less at WOT because only so much air can pass through but definitely a problem that needs fixed
