Unlike many, we are a Polaris fan. These four wheelers are not too big, not too small. They are not the lightest thing in the world but they are a utility four wheeler so they are not designed to be a speed demon.
The engine is actually a 455cc engine and runs pretty good. It is a fully automatic transmission. Very comfortable machine as most of the new Polaris machines are. Disk brakes front and rear. Selectable two or four wheel drive and with a Polaris you get true four wheel drive.
The weak spot is in their driveline though. Their axles are notoriously weak and in fact, we bought ours used needing an axle. It cost $200 and was pretty easy to put in. None the less, we like this four wheeler. If you are a bigger guy, you would likely find it too small and may need to bump up to the Sportsman 500.
Pros: A generally nice four wheeler.
Cons: Axles could used a beefing up. Polaris should know better than this and it is for this reason I didn't rate them higher. Not going to win any races with this four wheeler.
