smoke????
I just finished putting new rings and a new head in my GY6. The engine goes on a Yerf Dog 3209. After I put the engine back in the buggy , it started blowing white smoke and thats were I'm concerned. I'm just wondering is it supposed to do that for a little while.

It should not be smoking and in fact you just described symptoms of needing rings. Why did you put new rings in it? Did you have the cylinder bored (or did it need it)?

My grandpa gave me the buggy because he was sick of dropping money in to it. It was smoking pretty bad when I got it so I took the top end apart and check to see if there was any scaring in the cylinder, well there wasn't. The only thing needing to be replaced was the head because the intake valve was leaking so I ordered a new head. This guy at a motorsports place here in my town said the rings were the wrong ones on the buggy, so I order the right ones which fit a 57mm piston. After I got every thing shipped to my house. My grandpa tells me the guy that he had put new rings on told him he put the wrong sized rings on so I was like good I'll just put those rings I just ordered on the piston. After I got everything installed and tuned right I started the buggy up to let the engine break in well it started smoking alot of white smoke at first but has you let it run for a few minutes the smokes starts to not be has bad thas were I am at. My dad thinks the carb is bad, do you guys think a bad carb can cause this.
