I swear by any full synthetic oil. One note on oil is that there is a difference between a auto grade oil and v-twin or 4 cycle atv oils. The basic auto oil is designed for water cooled engines that run in the 200 deg. tops range. An oil for atv, cycle, or V-twin are designed for the air cooled engine which runs in the 350 deg range.Valvoline, Castrol, Royal Purple,Mobil1 all make oil for the 4 cyl v-twin or atv and will state so on the bottle. If you are going to drive your buggy for extended periods and hard this type oil is what you want.

You don't need motorcycle/ATV specific oil since you have a dry clutch system, but you do need a an oil that can handle the higher temperatures of an air-cooled verses water-cooled engine.
