Default anyone in south florida

i'm looking for a shop in south florida that works on buggies.i have two that need help a carter 250 and hammer head 150.the hammer head 150 that keeps snapping belts after 5min of riding.this problem occured after i changed variator and clutch and rollers.cart was working fine for weeks then when belt broke it just seems it breaks belts faster and faster now.http://buggymasters.com/forum/images/smilies/dunno.gif

When you changed the belt, did you remove the variator and reposition the roller weights? They will fall out of the slots and cause the CVT to be stuck in high gear resulting in more failed belts.

Depending on what is wrong with the Carter 250, a shop may not be able source parts for a repair and will have to fabricate or modify a replacement.

thank you for responding.i'm ordering a new belt and will check again when i install.i would rather a shop do it as i also would like to upgrade several other thing such as carb and jets and cdi etc...money isn't a problem just finding a shop to do this is.so anyone know of a shop in florida let me know

where can i find someone who modifies these carts.is there a list of shops somewhere.there was a shop in georgia but moved to alabama.anyone have any info

I'm in the Fort Myers area. I don't know anyone reputable to work on it. I have always muttled my way through things so I have never taken any of my ATVs to anyone for repair. I frequently see craigslist adds for people offering to repair them...but thats taking a chance.

i don't want some scooter shop trying to toy with it.i want a professional or someone with lots and lots of expeirence.if i can't find somebody soon i'll be selling them.

Unfortunately the scooter shop is going to have the best qualified mechanic for your engines.Tom @ SYC may have information for a qualified mechanic in your area(banner @ the top of the page) The main reason for this forum is because qualified individuals to work on these things are far and few, so we have to become experts with our own equipment just to keep them functioning correctly & in a timely manner.
