Default Upgrading Robin EX17 to ?? on Manco Kart

Hi all
I appreciate any help. I am new to karting and hope you can point me in the right direction. I have a Manco Quicksilver 2x6 GL with a Robin EX17 and Comet Series 30 torque converter. I have a friend who needs a motor for his kart and figured I'd give him mine and upgrade the motor on my kart.

I'm considering engines between 7 and 15 hp and am wondering:
1) what other Robins (others too?) are compatible with this TC?
2) which TC will I need if I go with a more powerful Robin or other engine?
3) what else will need to be upgraded...?

Thanks for your help!
Mike

Okay
I've decided on an engine. I'd like to go with the ex27. I know I'll need a larger 1" driver clutch but will I need to replace the driven clutch too? What else will I need to do to get the ex27 mated up right? Thanks!!

My understanding is that I'll need a series 40 TC and need to modify the mounting plate and jack shaft ... can you give me a quick run through of what I'd need to do to mount it and mod the jack shaft? (and/or if you know of links to websites with the necessary steps/issues/etc.)

Thanks again!!
Mike
