What are these?
So I was driving and I stopped because it sounded like something was plugging my exhaust. Something was. I went back home, took the spark arrestor off and started the thing and what is pictured in the attachment is what the engine blew out. Does anyone know what this is?

when i repack a muffler i use steel wool fiberglass packing comes out sometimes like for you

does not come out as easily
buy at lowes home depot walmart does not cost as much can be rewashed and reused if you want to i never do

most aftermarket mufflers have a center
pipe that is like made of expanded mesh the packing goes around the pipe and all slides inside the muffler body for sound control
