Bought a GY6, have ?'s
I bought this from ebay I am building a spiderbox type buggie for my son and I.
How do I connect the output shaft to the rear axle gear? What other items will I need to make this engine work? Thanks in advance! |

GY6 150cc short case. Came with carb,cdi, coil and wiring harness.

Pic came through!!! BMI sells the standard Howhit (Yerfdog Spiderbox) 13t sprocket, cut a piece of pipe to space out the rest of the distance on the shaft for the nut to fit. If the 13t sprocket isn't the right tooth count I can get you a link to a 14t,15t,16t with the right spline count (19)-this scooter shaft will also let you install the external reverse kit, that shaft is a 1/2" shorter than the ones that came with reverse but it still works. Since it's a Spiderbox type build you can set the axle sprocket accordingly after the engine is installed.BMI may sell the the Spiderbox front wiring harness-on/off switch,start button that plugs right in to your 4 pin outlet.See if they have the stock exhaust pipe too, you can always change the muffler-at least you'll have a pipe to work with that will bolt up to that engine.
