What engine comes on a DraKart?
Someone originally told me they were chevy 3 cylinder machines but from what I have seen on you tube, no way that 3 cylinder machine is that fast.

G'Day All,new here and 1st post.They have come out with 3cyl Eco motors,but mainly CVT Sled motors.
The 583 rotary in the earlier ones,600cc in the Formula Cross,and 750-1300 busa motors in the larger Tiger,Tornado and 2 seater Intimidator. Mine is 02 Formula Cross,600cc Skidoo Rotax,fitted with a Honda Pilot all hand control setup,no foot pedals at all...Cheers Baz

Man I just watched some of those vids....I really shouldn't have....now I REALLY want one. I know where there one is too in SC. It currently has an engine from a small chevy car or something in it.

My buddy has Formula Cross and it's incredible. It's 2000 model with the 583 Rotax and IIRC, the last models came with Geo Metro 3-cylinder. I went with him to Busco a few Fridays ago, we took the Drak and a 250r ATC. I could not keep up with him and that 2-stroke 3-wheeler is a beast. The Drak is instant on power...mash the gas and hang on. The suspension is awesome...better than the Oddys and Pilots, it just floated over the woops and bumps. I got a couple of good runs in it until the left inside CV joint let go and threw the half shaft...fun's over. He's getting the axles rebuilt over the winter and some other littles things worked out. I have some pics of it...maybe I'll get a chance to post those and pics of the Oddys later.

I was in it when it happened...that tiny narrow ditch is about 4 feet deep, so when the right front wheel went in and it wouldn't come out. Damage was minor...snapped tie-rod.
