Shopping Cart
As I was driving home. I saw the same old shopping cart I always see, that has been laying in a creek for at least a year now.
I had the bright idea to not let it go to waste any longer. I brought my SUV down to the bottom of my hill hooked a rope on the hitch and the other end to the shopping cart and then hit the gas. I yanked that puppy out of a foot of mud and about 2 feet worth of water, and up a 4 foot embankment. I dragged it about a 1/4 mile home. Now my question is what exactly should I do with it. I was thinking of these things: http://lifehacker.com/5398966/make-a...-shopping-cart http://vimeo.com/3001777 http://craig.backfire.ca/pages/proje...g-cart-trailer - pull behind the buggy Any suggestions guys? I was originally thinking of using it on my welding cart or making another like this http://www.millerwelds.com/resources...t-welding-cart I even thought about using it to make some roof rack or storage rack. Only thing stopping me with that is I like the versatility of being able to go under some fallen trees and low obstacles.

I like the welding cart idea. You could also use the bottom ring as an engine dolly once you start your frankenbuggy.(hint.hint.nudge.nudge) I kinda like the grating design for things like chain guards and such, too.

I do like the chain guard idea. The engine dolly is not bad either. I still comb C.L. several times a day hoping to score with a cheap chassis and or engine.
Still unsure of the cart at this time, but hay who knows.

You know things progress, work on one, stumble on another. Couldn't pass up the Dazon, thing runs like a scalded dog.
The wife keeps reminding me that it is hers...

Haha. Personally, I wouldn't make it a hand truck as it has those castor wheels (unless you'll swap 'em out) and if you tilt it back on 2 wheels it'll be kinda difficult to carry imo. And personally I would NEVER trust myself on one of those things with a gas motor (stock of course ) but electric is a thought. If you go electric or something, let me know. I've got some good rec. on those motors! I was quite familiar with the lot of 'em when I was really into my electric scooters.

I think I will just leave it like this (2nd pic) for while I will just reinforce the end with 2 pieces (vertical) of 3/4" square tubing to support extra weight.
