new to buggies and need a hand anyone from.owa or the omaha ne area
Picked u a couple project buggies over the last couple weeks and am looking for someone who can look at them and give some pointers the first one is a sunl slgk 150b I believe its missing some parts... motor mount reverse cable etc... the next one is a sunl as well and was told it has a 250 CC motor on it... but I thought those were water cooled and I'm not seeing anywhere where a radiator was mounted... were there air cooled sunk 250cc karts?. The red one is the one that is supposed to be 250cc

Thanks,
The kids are really excited and my 4 year old girl drags me to the garage every morning when she wakes up. The first thing i hear when i get home from work is are we gonna work on the thingy in the garage?. the yellow one has the engine with only 2 bolts on the head, is there a big bore kit that fits this one as well? |

Re the yellow one's engine, if it's a two bolt valve cover, No, not much you can do with it but for cvt upgrades. I'd swear i've seen pics of the red one before, pretty sure the rad was mounted up high behind the seats. look for a water pump, if it has that, then it's water cooled and needs a rad.

I bought the red one off of craigslist in des moines.. that is the pic they used on CL so mabey you saw it there. I also posted pics on buggynews as well.
Grr i guess ill be looking for an engine to swap out the engine from the yellow one for. I was really hoping to upgrade it. Thanks for responding.. so far everyone has been so friendly when it comes to buggies as opposed to the motorcycle forums and UTV forms i have been a member of.. |

Don't drop the 2 valve head engine just yet. I'm pretty pleased with the performance of mine. It's a SYM-built 2 bolt from a carter talon, runs really nice. I'd get it running first and see what you think before dropping $s on a new one. |

can someone point me to the buggyholics anonymous thread?
I havent ordered the new rear upper swing arm/engine mount yet. I was hoping to find one used ... I bought the red one to use for parts but after finding out that it has the 250cc engine I want to fix that one up now to.. so im still on the hunt for an engine rack that will fit the sunl-150b. I have got to stop looking at craiglist though because i keep finding project carts i want!
